I want to buy a used car, in which I can learn to drive, and also take my driver's test.
I read somewhere that I do not need a license to register a car; only insurance.
Can I get insurance without a license?

Yes, a car is property and can be insured as such, whether you have a driver’s license or not.
yes but i think you need to be added to your parents insurance. let the company know that you are still learning.
Someone has to be named the driver. Otherwise the insurance is not valid.
for the situation like yours,I would like to suggest you have a look here

I think almost all insurance companies requiere you to have license but try this site where you can get quoets from different companies so you can find it out

you can’t drive it on public roads as you have no license so what do you need insurance for.
Just use it on private property.
