Hi, Last night I got my first speeding ticket ever. I am a 18 year old male.
The officer claims I was going 84 but I dont believe him because he said he lasered me at 1am and usually I am under 80mph.
Anyways,
If I go to court and do drivers school and remove this ticket, what will happen to my insurance rate?
I have all state.

My guess is that you don’t have the option of traffic school, either because you were stopped by the highway patrol or because you were cited with reckless driving, reckless endangerment or something like that.
Those are very serious citations/charges and you do NOT want them on your record. It will be points and jacked up insurance. You’ll be paying big fines, no matter what.
If you have the option of going to traffic school, then absolutely by all means do it. Not only because it will keep your record clear, but also because you need to start taking your driving responsibility more seriously and maybe sitting in class will be a good reminder for you. “Usually under 80mph” is a very irresponsible way to regulate your speed on our public roads.
If you go to court, then you can’t go to driver’s school and vice versa.
If you can’t go to driver’s school, then go to court. Don’t say you don’t believe the officer. That won’t get you anywhere. Apologize and request a reduced fine.
Anyway:
Yes, you’re insurance will skyrocket.
No, you probably can’t go to traffic school for this.
Yes, it’s going to cost you seriously a lot.
Please start driving more safely. Follow the laws. Including the speed limit.
you are nailed/do what you have to do/the insurance company will review your permanent driving record at renewal and adjust accordingly/by the way you are fitting the 99% profile of young male driver/accident is next
If you go to traffic school it will keep the ticket off your DMV record. If you don’t, Allstate will raise your rate. You MUST go to traffic school so your rate will not go up.
